ProteMac KeyBag
Installation
1.Download ProteMac KeyBag from www.imcapture.com
2. Run the keybag.dmg file from the desktop, or download location.
3.In the ProteMac KeyBag window, double click the KeyBag.pkg file.
4.Follow the prompts to install the program. After installation you may delete the keybag.dmg file from your desktop.
That’s it. KeyBag is installed and ready to use. Immediately after installation ProteMac KeyBag is up and running capturing every keystroke on the computer and compiling the usage data.
KeyBag is designed to monitor and record every keystroke made during computer activity on your Mac. This invisible and easy-to-use keylogger empowers you to trace information about the programs run, texts typed, etc. The special Applications tab illustrates the application usage statistics in a graphical format.
1.To launch KeyBag, locate the KeyBag.app file in the Applications folder and double click its icon.
2.The main KeyBag window shows two main parts: the KeyStrokes tab and the Applications tab.
a.The Keystrokes tab delivers keystroke information indicating the application, the data, the window title, the part of the text typed for all applications (or for the selected application) utilized within the specified time period.
The Keystroke Typed Details box displays the complete text typed during a keystroke session. To view the text for the concrete application, select one from the enlisted applications in the main window and get the whole text in the box below.
In case of need you may copy and paste the text from the Keystroke Typed Details box. Highlight the part of text or the complete text and right-click once to open the list of possible options. Choose Copy from the list and go to the location you would like to paste the selected text in. With one mouse-click open the same list and choose Paste to place the copied abstract.
b.The Applications tab provides an easy-to-decipher graphical representation of the total number of keystrokes that have occurred for each application used in the specified time period.
To select statistics for a specific application, select Keystrokes tab, and choose the application from the Application drop-down list. After that Applications tab will illustrate the chart only for the selected application.
Activity Details - displays the statistical information about the use of selected application. The side panel displays maximum stroke length, average stroke length, maximum typing speed, etc. To close the side panel click Activity Details button again.
User name drop-down list - Displays the name of the user who utilized each application.
Specifying the time period to monitor
To initialize this computer monitoring software it is necessary to specify the time period for KeyBag activity on your computer. Once you have set the timeframes for application’s monitoring activity, this Mac spy software will record every detail of computer activity within the indicated time period.
1.To do that, click the Time range button from the menubar above.
2. Specify the desired start date/time and end date/time via the calendars and clocks displayed on the dialog, then click the OK button.
The Refresh button at the bottom of the main window will refresh the information in the active window. Use this button when changing the Application selection or whenever you wish to refresh the window information.
Exporting the keystrokes data
KeyBag offers you the possibility of sending the recorded information at will: share the comprehensive report about computer activity prepared by monitoring software spy KeyBag with your colleagues or friends. KeyBag lets you select the table fields and choose the preferred format for export.
1. First, specify whether you want to export the KeyStrokes table data for all applications or only one application. To export the data for all applications, select the All Applications option from the Application drop-down list. To export the data for only one application, select the desired application from the Application drop-down list.
2. Click the Export button in the main KeyBag window from the menubar above. In the displayed Select Fields screen clear the checkbox (es) of any field(s) you don’t want to export.
Note: all the fields with selected checkboxes will be exported.
3.Click the Next button to display the Export Format selection screen.
4.Select the desired output format, then click the Finish button and in the window appeared specify the filename to save the information in and click Save to end this operation. KeyBag exports the KeyStrokes table data in the output format you selected to the location you specified.
Activating KeyBag keylogger
The next step after application’s installation is to launch KeyBag activity on your Mac. Thus KeyBag will monitor and record all keystrokes until you quit it manually.
1.To start KeyBag go to the KeyBag pull-down menu and select Preferences.
2.In the appeared window choose the General tab and check the Enable keystroke capturing box.
1.To stop the capture of keystrokes and shut KeyBag off, go to the KeyBag pull -down menu and select Preferences.
2.The preferences window opens. Unchecking the Enable keystroke capturing box on the General tab will disable KeyBag.
Keystroke warning notifications

Warnings will use the Growl! Program to flash a warning on the screen when specified words are typed. NOTE: If Growl! is not installed, KeyBag will automatically prompt you to install Growl! the first time a specified word is typed.
1.To specify restricted words and get warning notification via E-mail address, open the System Preference panel on your computer and double-click the KeyBag icon.
2. Select the Warnings tab in the Preferences window. In the blank field below enter the restricted words you would like to trigger and get notification about. Click the + button to add this word to the whole list or - button to delete it. Choose OK to confirm your choice.
3. Select the Email Alerts tab to indicate E-mail address to get Warning Notification. Fill in all the blank fields and click OK button when finished.
Clearing the recorded keystrokes history
KeyBag serves as a reliable keystroke spy software that delivers a detailed report about computer activity including the record of applications utilized, messages typed. It clears the database every 12 months by default. However, you may set the period for storing KeyBag database manually at will.
1.To specify the time period for storing KeyBag’s database, open the System Preferences panel on your computer and click the KeyBag icon.
2. The Preferences window displays General, Warning and E-mail Alerts tab. Select the General tab in the active window. From the drop-down list select an alternate frequency for clearing all data in the keystrokes database.
3. Selecting Clear All Data Now button you delete all data in the database immediately.
Registration
1.In the main ProteMac KeyBag window (go to Applications and double-click KeyBag icon) choose Help from the menu above to enter your registration name and key.
2.For that purpose copy regname and regcode from email without blanks before and after reginfo.
3.Paste copied info to open window and press Register button. To end this operation, hit OK button.
