Installation 

1. Download IMCapture for Microsoft Messenger from www.imcapture.com. 

2. Before the installation you should completely close Messenger application. 

3. Launch imcapture-for-messenger.dmg. 

4. In appeared window run the installing file. 

5. Follow the instructions. 

That’s it, IMCapture for Messenger is installed on your computer. 

Registration 

1. Launch IMCapture for MSN and click Help menu in the top of the screen. 

2. Choose Registration from the drop-down list. 

3. Enter your registration name and key. To do this copy regname and regcode from email without blanks. 

Recording Messenger calls by default 

With IMCapture for Microsoft Messenger you may record video an audio calls automatically as soon as they start. 

1. Click on IMCapture for Messenger menu above and select Preferences from the drop-down list. 

2. In Preferences window check Enable Autorecord checkbox. 

3. Click OK to accept your choice. 

To record an audio call 

After the installation you can record your audio MSN sessions. To do it, follow these steps: 

1. When an audio call starts the Record button becomes highlighted, showing that IMCapture recognizes the occurrence of audio Messenger call and is ready to start its recording. In case you have checked the Enable Autorecord checkbox, the recording process will start with the beginning of an audio session. 

2. To start recording click record audio button any time while conversation. The time of recording will be displayed in Recording field. 

3. As soon as the recording process has began the Stop button highlights. When you want to finish recording click on this button. If you have checked on Enable Autorecord recording stops automatically with the end of an audio call. 

To record a video call 

Once you have installed on your computer, you may easily create a recording of video MSN session. Follow these steps to record video call: 

1. With the start of a video Microsoft Messenger call the Record video button highlights, indicating that IMCapture for Messenger recognizes the occurring of a video session and is ready to record it. 

2. Press Record video button to begin recording process anytime during the call. If you have checked Enable Autorecord checkbox in Preferences the recording will begin as soon as a video MSN call starts. 

3. While a recording process is occurring the Stop button will be highlighted. You may click on it any moment of video Messenger session to complete a recording process. In case you have checked Enable Autorecord checkbox, the record stops automatically when you finish a Messenger video session. 

Converting audio and video calls 

IMCapture for Microsoft Messenger allows you not only to record your video and audio MSN sessions, but to convert them into popular video and audio formats as well. To do this, follow these steps: 

1. After IMCapture for Messenger has recorded your video or audio call, the Converter window will open. 

2. Converter window is divided in two parts (one for you, one for the other caller), supplied with Video and Audio checkboxes. Choose the elements you would like to convert. 

3. Before conversion you can adjust video and audio parameters. To do it, click on Setting button. In appeared Codec Parameters window specify the characteristics and click OK to confirm your choice. 

4. Click on Convert. Enter the name for your new recording in Save as field. Choose an output folder for saving the result file. During the converting process you can see the status of conversion’s progress. 

5. When the conversion has been finished, IMCapture will suggest you to play back a result file. To do it, click on Yes button.
