Installation:
 

1. Download imcapture-for-skype.exe from http://www.imcapture.com/IMCapture-for-Skype/download/
2. Launch Setup.
3. Follow the instructions in the dialog window.

That’s it. IMCapture for Skype is installed.

 

Registration 

 

1. Launch IMCapture for Skype and navigate to the menu in the main window.
2. Choose Help and then Registration to enter your registration name and key. For that purpose copy regname and regcode from email without blanks before and after reginfo.
3. Paste copied info to open window and press Register button. To end this operation, hit OK button.

 

Initialization with Skype:

 

The first step in utilizing of IMCapture for Skype after installation is initialization of the application with Skype that will provide correct work of the program. While the initializing process Skype will be requested to permit using of IMCapture for Skype as a plug-in.
To initialize IMCapture for Skype:

1. Start Skype and login as you would usually.
2. When you launch Skype for the first time after running IMCapture for Skype the Skype API Security window displays.
3. Select the Allow this program to use Skype option.
4. Click OK to permit the initialization.

 
In case the Skype API Security window hasn’t been displayed you may initialize IMCapture for Skype following way:

1. Navigate to Tools menu.
2. Select Options in the drop-down list.
3. Click Advanced Settings button.
4. Allow other programs accessing to Skype.
5. In displayed IMCapture for Skype dialog click Change button.
6. Allow the application to use Skype.
7. Click OK to permit this action.

 

After initializing IMCapture for Skype, both programs may be started in any order.

Recording Skype calls by default:

 

IMCapture for Skype enables recording video and audio calls by default as soon as the Skype call has started.

1. Navigate to Settings menu of IMCapture for Skype and select Preferences from the drop-down list.
2. Then put the tick on Enable Autorecord to permit the application to record your Skype calls automatically.
3. Select Start on Call start to start recording automaticallyas soon as the call has started or Start on Video Present to start recording automatically as soon as the video call has started.

 

IMCapture for Skype now will save your Skype calls automatically.

To start and stop recording a video call:

 

Once you have installed IMCapture for Skype you may record your video calls. Using of the application allows to start and stop recording process any moment of the Skype video session.
 

1. Before you start to record your video calls please select an output folder location in IMCapture for Skype window.
2. When the Skype call starts Record icon turns blue indicating that IMCapture for Skype is ready to record a Skype video session. Click the Record Video button any moment of conversation to start recording.
3. While recording process is occurred Stop recording button is highlighted and Record icon becomes animated. Below you may see the time of recording. Click the Stop recording button when you want to stop video recording. If you have checked Enable Autorecord checkbox in Preferences, the recording process stops automatically.
4. IMCapture for Skype creates a new IMCapture for Skype file every time the Stop button is selected.

 

To start and stop recording an audio call:

 

After installing IMCapture for Skype you may record your audio calls. To enable recording of audio and video sessions run IMCapture for Skype and follow these steps:

1. Before you start to record your video calls please select an output folder location in IMCapture for Skype window.
2. As soon as the Skype call has started the Record Audio button lights up and the Record icon turns into blue that indicates that IMCapture for Skype is ready to make record of your audio call. The time of recording is displayed below the Stop recording button.
3. While IMCapture for Skype is recording Stop recording button is highlighted and Record icon becomes animated. Select the Stop recording button any moment of conversation when you want to stop video recording.
4. IMCapture for Skype creates a new IMCapture for Skype file every time the Stop button is selected.

 



 

Converting audio and video calls:

 

IMCapture for Skype makes possible saving of video and audio calls in one of the popular formats. This recording tool enables specifying of audio and video settings to change the quality of saved Skype sessions.
To convert video or audio call:

1. Stop recording process. After that IMCapture for Skype Converter opens.
2. Set an appropriate video and audio format of the recorded file and adjust video and audio settings.

 

 

1. Click the Converter button to start the process of conversion.
2. Then you have to choose where your recorded call will be saved in. In the displayed window select the folder for your video or audio file.
